Thompson & Litton is pleased to announce the addition of Jeff Crabtree, PE, to the firm’s Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing practice. A graduate of Memphis State University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Jeff has more than 27 years of experience in building engineering which includes a broad range of projects involving heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing design for all types of public and commercial buildings; institutional facilities, industrial plants, and water and wastewater installations. Jeff’s experience also includes owning and operating a mechanical contracting company for a number of years. With his location in Thompson & Litton’s Chilhowie office, Jeff serves clients throughout the Tri-Cities and Central Southwestern Virginia, and the Mid-Atlantic.
Mr. Crabtree has specific experience in designing complete HVAC, mechanical and plumbing systems for both new and retrofit commercial, industrial, institutional, hotels, and residential facilities. His responsibilities include production management; energy conservation; and mechanical and plumbing engineering design.
Steve Brooks, P.E., the supervisor for the Building Services Group, said that we are extremely fortunate to have added Jeff many talents and varied background to Thompson & Litton. His unique experience that includes working on both the design and construction side of projects is an asset to both T&L and our clients. Jeff has already made significant contributions in the realm of quality assurance of the design and insight during construction on numerous projects since joining T&L. Among those projects are the Bluefield State College HVAC Replacement project, Alpha Natural Resources New Headquarters, and the Botetourt County Public Safety Building.
Jeff is a resident of Chilhowie, where he lives with his wife Jane. They have 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
