Ronald G. Helton, PE is a 1982 graduate of Virginia Tech, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Ron is a principal of the firm and serves as President and CEO.

His career at T&L began 32 years ago as a Cooperative Education Student. After graduating from Virginia Tech, Ron returned to T&L full-time where he went on to become Design Engineer, Associate, Civil Engineer, Vice President of Engineering, Executive Vice President, and his current position as President. As an extension of his role and duties as President, Ron lends his expertise to a variety of projects as Principal-in-Charge, providing oversight and guidance, QA/QC, and ensures that the project team has access to the resources necessary to complete the project on time and within budget.

Across his years of experience with the development, planning, funding, and design of various water, wastewater, site and infrastructure developments for multiple engineering and architectural projects, he has gained valuable knowledge that he contributes regularly to a variety of professional organizations.
