Are you a dedicated Civil Engineer looking to work on impactful water and wastewater projects in a collaborative and growth-focused environment? Thompson & Litton, a multi-office Engineering & Architecture firm, is seeking a self-motivated Project Engineer to join our team.

Who You Are:

You are a licensed (or soon-to-be licensed) Civil Engineer with experience in water/wastewater systems and infrastructure. You enjoy collaborating with clients, problem-solving, and leading projects from concept to completion.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design & oversee water/wastewater lines and treatment plant projects ensuring compliance with municipal, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform site visits, research, and due diligence to assess project feasibility and develop conceptual layouts.
  • Prepare technical specifications, construction cost estimates, and project deliverables.
  • Conduct quality control (QA/QC) reviews on your work and that of your team.
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Stay up-to-date on local, state, and federal regulations related to municipal water/wastewater systems.
  • As your experience grows, mentor and train junior engineers in design, project management, and company procedures.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or eligibility to sit for the exam within 6-12 months.
  • 4-10+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in water distribution, sewer collection, or wastewater treatment plant design.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and WaterCAD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • US Citizenship required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience designing water/wastewater treatment plants.
  • Familiarity with agency procedures & funding regulations for municipal infrastructure projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
