Who We Are

In 1956, two engineers named William A. Thompson, Jr. and John W. Litton founded Thompson & Litton, Inc. on the belief of bringing strong professionalism, integrity, and undying commitment to client success to their local communities. Now,68 years later, this tradition remains at the heart of everything we do. We take great pride in our team, whose dedication and expertise enable us to consistently deliver superior service to our clients.

From our humble beginnings with a staff of seven, we have grown to eight offices, offering a comprehensive range of engineering, architectural, surveying, planning, and construction services. By always focusing on the future, we provide creative solutions with an emphasis on sustainability and the world around us.

Today, we serve clients from our offices in Wise, Radford, Tazewell, and Chilhowie, Virginia; Mosheim, Bristol, and Johnson City, Tennessee; and Princeton, West Virginia. Our diverse staff includes architects, engineers, surveyors, land-use planners, construction administrators, grant and financing specialists, and other support personnel. Each project we undertake is managed with integrity, insight, and innovation, ensuring tailored solutions for every client’s needs.
