Steven D. Brooks

Steve Brooks, PE, is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Master’s of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Having experience as both a structural and civil engineer, Steve has the ability to understand the many facets of a project and bring it to a successful completion. Steve joined T&L as a Project Engineer for civil projects and worked to become the Lead Structural Engineer for T&L founding the firms’ structural practice. He lead the firms endeavor to start a MEP practice while serving as Vice President of Engineering. Today he holds the current position of Senior Vice President of Operations where he oversees the architectural, engineering, surveying and construction contract administration services.  In his current role Steve contributes his expertise to all design endeavors as Officer-in-Charge, providing oversight and guidance, QA/QC and ensures that the Project Team has access to the resources necessary to complete the project on time and within budget. He has been the engineer of record on a wide variety of projects including public works, site development as well as industrial, commercial, institutional and correction facilities. Steve has worked on projects utilizing a number of different delivery methods such as design/bid/build, design/build, fast track and PPEA.
