Montgomery County Courthouse and Parking Structure

The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors engaged T&L to provide Architectural and Engineering services on the new Montogmery County Courthouse in downtown Christiansburg, Virginia.

The project included a four-story, nine courtroom facility, enhanced security measures, Audio/Visual, and sustainable design features integrated throughout this state-of-the art facility, two-level parking structure, a green roof garden terrace, and a connecting tunnel with jail addition provides secure transfer of inmates from the jail into specific courtroom holding areas.
 
Courthouse design required close coordination with all Courthouse users, the State Supreme Court services, the Sheriffís Department, and Montgomery County and Town of Christiansburg officials.
 
T&L provided regular public presentations illustrating the design development and compliance with zoning requirements on a sensitive, urban site located in the historic district of downtown Christiansburg.
This project was under budget $4,083,007.
