Survey Party Chief – Princeton

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
  • 2 years’ experience as a Party Chief
  • Solid work ethic and team-player attitude
  • Willing and able to work occasional overtime
  • SIT certification or License is preferred but not required
  • Driver’s License

Duties:

  • Work without immediate supervision and make technical and procedural decisions for projects assigned within specified limits of authority
  • Directs and conducts surveys for clients coordinating with the survey field crew
  • Ensures surveys are in compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
  • Manage and perform field survey work
  • Work primarily in the field on control, boundary, topography, construction staking, and other tasks on a one or two-person crew
  • Responsible for using assigned survey equipment proficiently to collect and document survey data that is consistently accurate, thorough, and complete
  • Interpret drawings, legal survey plans, field data, field sketches, base maps, safety procedures to implement successful project completion
  • Maintain accurate and legible field notes
  • Perform layout
  • Direct and train the Survey Assistant in the operation of survey equipment
  • Be a team leader for the crew by setting examples and managing instrument personnel
